There was lots of excitement today in Mrs. Durden's PE class. The 1st graders played Horseshoes as they learned about distance and trajectory. Navaeh Porter scored the most points for her team and both Abigail Martinez Villeda and Riley Murvin were the only two students to ring the stake with their horseshoes!

Lots of fun and learning was taking place in Ms. Lee's class. Students were working on consonant sounds alone and together with vowel sounds. They enjoyed different types of manipulatives to visualize the sounds in different ways. #BPS #LearnersToLeaders
On Wednesday, 09/16, Mrs. Bartley's Kindergarten class had a lot of fun learning about the nursery rhyme, "The Tortoise and the Hare". They used many different strategies and resources to sound out syllables of words from hand movements to Playdough to playing "Syllable Duck-Duck-Goose". Great job students, Mrs. Bartley and Mrs. Wilkins!
Mrs. Graves 1st grade students are learning about friction and probability with Mrs. Ard in STEAM. Students are learning that water covers more of Earth's surface than land. They are pictured showing how oil reduces friction on a plastic sleeve and how to toss an inflatable globe using their thumb as an indicator to explore probability!
